Common use

Finrest tablet is used to treat male pattern hair loss by reducing levels of dihydrotestosterone (DHT) in the scalp. It helps to promote hair growth and prevent further hair loss. Continuous use is needed to maintain results. In addition to increasing hair growth on the scalp, it also prevents further hair loss in the treated areas. This medicine offers a convenient method for managing male pattern baldness through once-daily oral dosing.

Dosage and direction

Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Avoid breaking, crushing, or chewing it. This medicine can be taken with or without food. Do not exceed the recommended dose without consulting your doctor. For the best results, this medicine should be used regularly and long-term as prescribed by your doctor.

Precautions

Liver Impairment: If you have liver disease, caution is advised when using Finrest tablet as your condition could be exacerbated.
Prostate Cancer: This medication might slightly raise the risk of developing high-grade prostate cancer. It could also interfere with PSA screening tests for prostate cancer.

Contraindications

Finrest is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to Finasteride. It is also contraindicated in pregnant women, breastfeeding women, children and women with childbearing potential.

Possible side effect

While taking Finrest tablet, you may experience some common side effects such as: Decreased libido: This means you might feel a reduced interest in sexual activity. Erectile dysfunction: This refers to having difficulty getting or keeping an erection. Ejaculation disorder: You might encounter issues with the release of semen during sexual climax. Allergic reactions: These could manifest as skin rashes, itching, hives, and swelling.

Drug interaction

Antihypertensives: If you're taking medicines like amlodipine, the effects of Finrest tablet might be altered.
Alpha-Blockers: Medicines such as doxazosin, used for benign prostatic hyperplasia, could interact with this tablet.
Antifungals: If you are using antifungals like ketoconazole, it might impact how Finrest works.
Anticoagulants: Blood thinners like warfarin may interact with this medicine.

Missed dose

If you miss a dose of Finrest tablet, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it's nearly time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue with your regular schedule. Remember not to increase your dosage without speaking with your doctor.

Overdose

In case of an accidental overdose, you may experience symptoms like decreased libido, erectile dysfunction, and allergic reactions such as rash and itching. If you notice these symptoms after taking an excessive dose, inform your doctor.

Storage

Keep your Finrest in a tightly closed container. Avoid exposure to excessive light and moisture. Ensure it's stored out of reach and sight of children. Use the medicine before its expiry date.
